Overview:

The Sales Analyst primary responsibility is to gather and analyze POS data to determine sales strategies and opportunities. This includes developing and completing analysis around distribution, promotions, pricing, and product assortments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report POS data to increase sales productivity, direct marketing initiatives, and assist in business planning.
  • Combine POS data with Acosta field rep feedback to determine effectiveness of client initiatives and rep activities.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and scorecards that clearly track and display client and Acosta performance metrics.
  • Communicate reporting, analysis, and insights to Business Managers, Senior Management, and Clients.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Business Managers, Senior Management, and Clients.
  • Responsible for the use and understanding of IRI and ACNielsen syndicated scanning data, Spectra Demographic data, and Feature Vision ad tracking.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a college degree or equivalent experience in sales/category analysis.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word. MS Access and SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Prefer working knowledge of Retail Link and syndicated data (IRI and/or ACNielsen).
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
  • Must be able to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be attentive to detail and accurate.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with peers, sales group, management team, and clients.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal oversight, and be proactive.
