Job Summary:
The Jewelry Production Supervisor is responsible to meet productivity standards and production goals. They will be responsible to supervise staff to achieve those goals.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for sorting donated jewelry as directed by the Jewelry Assistant Manager.
Responsible for supervising the sorting of all donated jewelry, identifying items of value and ensuring that Goodwill receives maximum value for those items.
Responsible for processing and packaging jewelry for retail stores.
Responsible for ensuring that the stores are supplied with jewelry that is properly processed, prepared and adequate in quantity.
Achieve personal productivity goals.
Responsible for securing all jewelry items received for processing.
Responsible for designating the disposition of all jewelry items (stores, scrap, E-commerce)
Responsible for instructing, and coaching employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High School or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience selling vintage or fine jewelry preferred. Preferred experience and knowledge of identifying period (when jewelry was made), material and quality preferred.
Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: Able to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently. Proficient with Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Essential Physical Abilities:
Lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds; Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers;
Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people, including those with limited English skills.
Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities:
Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting
Written and verbal communication
Communicating with the public/customer service skills
Completing written orders
Organizational skills
Data entry
Accuracy
Working Conditions:
Warehouse and office environment, moderate noise level, some dust. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
