Winder - Full-time / Part-time

On behalf of our Client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Winder for a contract opportunity Gainesville, Georgia area. This is a great opportunity to work with one of the world's leading suppliers of a wide range of products, solutions and services in the field of energy technology.


The Winder performs various manual and machine operations associated with the production of stators for AC motors. Such operations include: winding, insulating stators, inserting, and connecting, lashing, brazing, and electrical checks/tests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats
• Function safely in an industrial manufacturing setting where factory physical conditions exist including shift work as required
• Ability to lift from up to 50 lbs. close to the body and 35 lbs. away from the body 60% of the time
• Use the overhead crane/hoist .
• Set up and operate a variety of winding/insert equipment/machines as required
• The use of hand tools such as hammer, levers, pry bar, etc.
• Use appropriate gauges and measuring devices
• Basic mathematics knowledge needed
• Ability to measure in fractions of an inch
• Meet quality and productivity requirements following WI, SOP, PCD, etc.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attendance and punctuality to RGG standards
• Conform to policies, procedures as an RGG Teammate
• Perform housekeeping duties as required
• Train, share knowledge; information with coworkers
• Other temporary duties/responsibilities as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Demonstrate knowledge of factory practices involving the various types of machines/equipment
• Demonstrable knowledge of shop mathematics, prints and measuring devices
• The completion of in-house skills inventory matrix
• Address and function with basic computer skills as defined by the company.
