Welder

We have a full-time opening for a Welder.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: $12

Position - Heavy Plate Welder
Location - California, Pa
Hours - All shifts available.
Pay - Wage range on this job is based on specific knowledge, skills and experience. From Starting from 12.00/Hour up to 17.00/Hour

SKILL FACTORS:

- Ability to weld in the horizontal, vertical and overhead positions using MIG and
Stick type welding

- Weld utilizing Sub Arc, Flux Core and Submerge Arc techniques when necessary
as called out by the drawing. Quality welds should be made manifest utilizing all
the aforementioned processes/techniques

- Perform Carbon Arc welding and back-gouging as required with proficiency and
at a production rate

- Weld tacks, fillets and butts at production rate with little or no pickup

- Superior ability to inspect welds to determine that they meet standards and/or
specifications a requirement

WORK CONDITIONS:

- Manufacturing work conditions

- Exposure to varying temperatures (cold & hot)

- Exposure to air particulates and some minor amounts of smoke

- Exposure to loud, penetrating noises in some cases

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 - Willing to consider recent tech school grads with welding certificate

OR

- at leasst 1 year experience

- High School Diploma or GED

- Vo-Tech helpful

** Must be able to pass background and drug screen.

** Wage will be determined on result of weld test which will include
- 3G Vertical UP and 4G Overhead
- 3/8" thick A36 grade mild steel with a minimum length of 8"
- Vee Groove Weld @ 60 degree including angle.
