Summary

AR Specialist Cash Application, attention to detail is key in this important position. The AR Specialist Cash Application must ensure accuracy when updating internal tracking systems and analyzing payments.

Job Purpose

TheAR Specialist Cash Application associate is responsible for accurate, complete and timely application of cash receipts against outstanding receivables.

Job Responsibilities
  • Account issue resolution and reconciliation.
  • Analysis and application of payments in ASM’s Order Management System.
  • Maintain accurate Receivable logs.
  • Communicate allocation of payment to Cash Receipt Specialist.
  • Filing of client support and application documents.


Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years general accounting experience or equivalent banking experience.
  • Interaction with customer service regarding invoices, clients regarding payment support and business managers regarding accounts.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Position Summary

The Specialist AR Cash Application is responsible for accurate, complete, and timely application of cash receipts against outstanding receivables.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Account problem resolution and reconciliation.

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED



Field of Study/Area of Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or equivalent banking


Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Software/Tools
  • Good written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers


Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
