Join the Lifetouch Portrait Studios team as a Help Desk Technician (Seasonal)As a Help Desk Technician you will join a team of technical professionals that supports over 700 photography studios across the country by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, properly documenting and categorizing all issues into a ticketing system.  You will also utilize your technical expertise to repair and test computer and camera equipment to proper working order.

Lifetouch Portrait Studios operates over 700 portrait studios, including locations in JCPenney, Target and Belk stores as well as free standing Flash Digital Portraits and Cilento Photography locations. Our photographers are trained on unique posing, lighting techniques and portrait designs to fit the whole family and tell every customer’s unique story. They specialize in capturing images of newborns, toddlers, siblings and entire families. 

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Flexible weekly work schedule, including working Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Shifts vary week to week.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems of equipment and software failures and associate error.
  • Properly repair the problem; checking operation of equipment
  • Provide temporary and permanent solutions for problem equipment.
  • Order replacement equipment on a timely basis
  • Follow through with installation instance with studio team members.
  • Communicate repetitive equipment problems and/or software issues to the lead on duty
  • Troubleshoot and resolve portrait studio system issues with non-technical studio team members
  • Receive incoming trouble calls.
  • Properly document and categorize all calls into a ticketing system.
  • Follow and maintain ticketing system integrity policies on a daily basis.
  • Repair and test computer and camera equipment to proper working order.
  • Prioritize equipment to be worked on.
  • Help monitor inventory of equipment in the pic bins and take action on restoring stock if quantities are low.
  • Comply with all personnel, administrative and operational standards, policies and procedures, such as: Timesheet completion, OSHA reporting, Internal policies and procedures, Complete special projects or duties as assigned.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work at studio locations to perform on-site repairs periodically.
  • Carry a cell phone and take calls from home after hours on a rotating scheduled basis.
  • Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays and weekends, as needed.
  • A+ certification or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, exhibiting professionalism with a variety of customers.
  • Good customer service skills; possess patience and understanding with internal and external customers.
