Job Fair for a Local Printing Company!!

Manpower is hosting a Job Fair at Lane Press Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. At Lane Press 87 Meadowland Drive South Burlington, VT 05403 ***LOCAL PRINTING PRESS LOOKING FOR BINDERY ROOM & PRESSROOM WORKERS*** Lane Press is a local printing company that prints mostly local Vermont and New England magazines. They currently are in need of motivated, qualified, and reliable individuals who can assist in their busy production department. Department Information: Bindery Room: The Bindery room is where printed magazines are fixed together. Magazines are loaded and unloaded into the machines that bind the pages together. There are various types of bindings including stapled and glued, and for these different bindings, different machines are used. There are also machines that add cardboard inserts to the magazines. Candidates will be working loading and unloading product into machines, replenishing consumed materials (wrap, strapping, boxes), safely operating equipment (including pallet jacks, bundle handlers, and strapping guns), maintaining a clean/ organized work area at all times, and monitoring the quality of the product and reporting any issues to Crew Leader. Pressroom Candidates will be feeding paper into machines that shred and bail. Be working with a team to move bails out of the pressroom into the recycling area. Also will be doing some maintenance on the machines to ensure the shredding is done properly. Day & night shifts available in both departments! Job Requirements: 1. Reliable transportation, no bus route access. 2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 3. Must be able to stand for 12 hours. 4. Lots of bending, pulling, pushing, twisting, squatting, etc. 5. Must be able to reliably report to work for each scheduled shift. 6. Must be able to learn how to use pallet jacks and bundle movers.
