BASIC FUNCTION:

To operate equipment in order to pick, pack, and ship product to end customers. Strive to meet the specification of the customer or the next process while always striving to meet Safety , Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pick, pack, ship, package, transact, count, and load finished goods inventory.

2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

3. Reads orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

4. Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas.

5. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

6. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping dock staging area.

7. Marks materials with identifying information.

8. Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

9. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

10. Weighs or counts items for distribution.

11. Arranges stock parts in specified sequence.

12. Uses computer to enter records.

13. Prepares parcels for shipping.

14. Maintains inventory records.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Has the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Has the ability to write simple correspondence. Has the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have the ability to compute, rate, ratio, and figure percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift Classroom and Practical Certification or equivalent training.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
