Mechanical and Electromechanical Assembler

Summary: With limited supervision, assembles, builds, modifies, wires, and adjusts functionally tests a wide variety of electrical mechancia, and mechanical refridgeration assemblies.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assembles, refurbishes and reworks electrical mechanical, mechanical, and refridgeration assemblies requiring the use of electircal mechanical knowledge and skill to position properly and interrelate numerous parts and mechanisms, which must be held to high workmanship standards

2. With limited direction and guidance works from blueprints, wiring diagrams, sketches, written and verbal instructions

3. With close supervision and guidance is capable of setting up and performing most of the following operations: wiring, electorstatic discharge wiring and assembly, soldering, brazing, deburring, and tube bending

4. With close supervison performs the following functional test operations on all electrical/mechanical and refridgeration units: pressure leak testing, refrigeration leak testing, and hipot testing

5. Performs manufacturing operations by operation such equipments as hand tools, power tools, packaging equipment, and saws

6. Perform adjustments, maintenance, and lubrication. Maintain necessary hand tools and measurement devices for proper performance of the job

7. Performs work in other cells and performs other related duties as directed

8. Instructs and leads less experienced assemblers in the correct procedures
