About this job
The Art Institute of Chicago's Museum Shop Warehouse is currently seeking numerous temporary assistants for the upcoming holiday season.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Shipping and receiving of merchandise that is sold in the museum shops such as pens, pencils, books, jewelry, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.
-Uncrate boxes and separate items for re-shipment.
-Checking packing list against orders.
-Logging shipments into inventory.
Qualifications
-Ability to perform warehouse duties such as: packing orders to arrive safely and accurately, receiving merchandise, data entry, ticketing, organizing and put away of goods.
-Able to follow directives and procedures.
-Dependable and prompt work record.
-Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
Weekly Schedule:
-Full time, 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday.
-Hours may be extended during peak times (this may include Saturdays and holidays).
-36.75 hours/week
