Software Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

The position will be in the software group. The candidate will work in support of the forestry product line to develop a communication protocol within a network device that pulls information through CAN J1939 from a Wheel loader for example and wirelessly sends that data that to a tablet. The Operator of the machine will read this information on the tablet to determine productivity of the equipment like fuel efficiency. Both devices will be mounted in the cab. The network device is able to communicate with machine controls, gather and process information and ship it to a tablet or display. The developer will set up communication protocols to pass information through the network box and sends it out to the correct places on the machine. Candidate will also interface with the 3rd party that is designing the tablet.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate will have to have a strong background/understanding of Linux operating systems, webservers and application programming in C. Experience working with Wi-Fi and Ethernet is a plus as well as working with communication protocols. No one in group currently has Linux experience so it will fill a void in the group.

2. 2 to 5 years of experience
3. Linux OS - how webserver works
4. Application SW Piece - on top of the OS (C)
5. HTTP server works
6. Ethernet - Must
7. Wi-Fi - Must
