We are a New Healthy Restaurant Concept located in the heart of downtown Seattle, looking for skilled and personable Cashiers, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers, who are comfortable working any and all of these positions as a team of outgoing, passionate, and healthy individuals. We have a couple new locations in Seattle opening soon as well, and people who join the team now will be considered for the opening team.

Cashier
Job Description
* Greet and acknowledge guests as they arrive.
* Receive and process all payment methods for restaurant guest checks, courteously and efficiently.
* Settle all guest checks in the computer system and maintain accountability for all financial transactions.
* Maintain complete knowledge of point-of-sale and manual systems and procedures.
* Obtain assigned register bank and ensure accuracy and security of contracted monies.
* Set up and organize work station with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; maintain cleanliness at all times.
* Answer telephone using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
* Handle guest complaints with follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Requirements
* Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English with guests/visitors, management and co-workers, to their understanding.
* Ability to work as a team is a must
* Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
* Ability to compute mathematical calculations.

Line Cook/ Salad Builder
Job Description
* Greet and acknowledge guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
* Interact with customers to know exactly what they want and make them feel important
* Build salads to customers exact specifications
* Move quickly and efficiently down the line while building salads
* Prep ingredients at end of shift for the next day
* Follow prep lists, order guides, and other task lists throughout the day
* Use a knife/mezzaluna in the chopping process
* Keep work area clean and safe throughout the shift
* Previous food handling and prep experience is desired
Qualifications
* Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English with guests/visitors, management and co-workers, to their understanding.
* Ability to work as a team is a must
* Ability to remain stationary and standing at assigned position for extended periods of time.
* Must feel comfortable using sharp knives, blades, and other sharp utensils
* Must have knowledge of food and be able to memorize ingredients in 16+ menu items
* Must be able to follow recipes and understand units of measure.
* Ability to follow proper portioning standards set forth by management
* Ability to prioritize, organize and follow the direction of others
* Ability to take directions and work multiple positions at the same time

Prep Cook/Dishwasher
Job Description
* Keeps the kitchen staff supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
* Keeping the kitchen clean during a shift, takes out trash, cleans floors.
* Follows a prep list each morning and makes sure all items are ready for service by the time the restaurant opens
* Preps and makes salad dressings according to recipes.
* Prioritizes tasks to ensure everything is in the right place at the right time and at the right temperature
* Ensures that work stations have fresh ingredients throughout shift

Qualification
* Must have knowledge of food prep and King County Health Standards
* Ability to work as a team is a must
* Must have a food handlers permit or the ability to obtain on by start date
* Must be able to read English and follow tasks and duties set forth by the Manager
* Must be able to follow directions for proper food handling and maintaining proper temperatures of ingredients.
* Must be able to follow recipes and understand units of measure.
* Must be able to use a commercial dishwashing unit.
* Must have proper knowledge of three compartment sink procedures
* Previous Dishwasher experience is a plus.
* Must be able to bend, squat, and lift over 40 lbs.

Evergreens Salad is currently searching for an exceptional part-time Shift Lead.

Evergreens Salads is looking for a new addition to our small but close family for our Downtown (3rd & Marion) location. We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, nutrition, health, and connecting with our community. Experience in food/customer service is a must, and a strong interest in nutrition or health is a plus. Responsibilities include providing wonderful and attentive customer service, preparing our amazing custom/chef prepared salads, produce prep, and keeping the place in presentable shape.

Our Downtown location is located in Seattle's financial district and is the first of many locations to come with our second location opening mid November. We serve the local work crowd, hotel guests and local residents, keeping them going strong throughout their day!

What We're Looking For

Position Details:
* about 30 - 35 hours per week
* 5 shifts per week
* weekend availability/flexibility required
* starting pay $13/hr plus tips; this is subject to adjustment at the end of 3 months based on performance

Duties include:
* provide shift leadership in absence of manager or as directed;
* responsible for opening or closing the business for operation;
* appropriately manage customer and staff concerns in absence of manager;
* cashiering (point of sale)
* cleaning restaurant / light bussing
* light food preparation (no cooking)

Minimum Qualifications:
* demonstrated leadership experience (supervisor; shift lead; etc.) within a retail or foodservice operation
* demonstrated outstanding customer service skills
* experience working in a team-oriented position
* high standards regarding service, cleanliness and professionalism
* attention to detail
* excellent personal hygiene
* solid references from prior employer(s)
* Washington Food Handler's Permit

Preferred Qualifications:
* previous cafe, bar, barista or restaurant experience (1+ years)
* experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
* stable work history (based on length of employment)
