Position Description: Internal Job Title:
“Project Manager – Loss Forecasting”

Location: This position can be based at Discovers Office in Riverwoods, IL (Headquarters) or in Phoenix, AZ (Phoenix Analytical Center of Excellence).

Job description:
This role in the Loss Forecasting team will be responsible for managing credit loss forecasting processes

Responsibilities:

• Own the loss forecasting processes, and maintain an in-depth understanding of all the components and changes. Responsible for all systems and controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all forecasting and reporting activities.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of forecasting models with time series components and play a significant role in enhancing and automating the team’s forecasting processes.
• Support processes for baseline loss forecasting, and stress testing, in preparation of the CCAR.
• Improve performance monitoring and implement forecast error tracking across all component models, compound models and final outputs of entire forecasting process. Document and communicate results to model owners and decision makers
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of portfolio credit performance dynamics and provide information to executive inquires

Qualifications

Skill and Qualification Requirements:

• Master’s degree in economics, statistics, engineering or related quantitative field.
• 2 or more years of experience in credit risk management, loss forecasting, statistical modeling and portfolio analytics in the Financial Services or related industries.
• Proficiency in SAS, SQL and MS Excel. Experience in other statistical software and tools.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on the completion of projects and tasks.
