Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate people to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Critical to achieving this is the role of our Schedulers. Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

The required schedule for the Part Time Scheduler position is Monday - Friday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Duties of the Scheduler include, but are not limited to:
  •  As the Scheduler, you are expected to adapt to all changes immediately, ensure communication, and ensure immediate implementation and follow-up/through when needed.
  • Your primary role as a Scheduler is to make sure that all shifts are filled with an appropriate CAREGiver. You do this by matching CAREGivers and Clients based on their ratings.
  • You must immediately update our database to reflect any client changes you have handled. You are also responsible for immediately updating: CAREGiver profiles, CAREGiver availability, CAREGiver schedules, CAREGiver occurrence tracking, and any other needed updates as you are aware of them.
  • It is expected that the Scheduling Team will meet weekly to ensure proper communication. However, we realize that these team meetings might be conducted on a day or time that you aren’t scheduled to be in the office. Therefore, the Scheduling Manager will routinely call or email you to ensure you have up-to-date information and ensure you feel as though you are part of the Scheduling Team. Therefore, it is expected that you will have a personal working phone (home or cell) at all times as well as a working personal email address that you check routinely.
  • As a Scheduler, you are expected to ensure ALL shifts are filled. In addition to filling the “last minute” or “fill-in” shifts, some Client’s have “ongoing” shifts/schedules, which means that their schedule repeats. Home Instead strives to provide our Client’s with the same CAREGiver(s)/a consistent schedule, especially when the Client’s schedule is ongoing.
  • Since the Scheduling Department operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year, it is expected that all members of the Scheduling Team remain flexible. It is imperative that you understand that you might be asked to stay later than you are normally scheduled, come in early, work on a day you are normally scheduled off, or assist with coverage on a holiday.
