Location: Lower Manhattan

Shift: 2nd shift, 12:00 - 8:00 PM Monday through Friday

Essential Job Functions:


-

Cages, Racks and Cabinets setup, layout, leveling and power strip installation.

-

Ladder and Fiber trays Construction.

-

Installation and maintenance of the structured cabling system.

-

Installation of Cross-Connect and extension of customer circuits, including POTS, T1, T3, Ethernet, and Fiber.

-

Perform Rack and Stack for various IT equipment when required.

-

Provide support to collocation customers, provide prompt response to customer " Helping Hands " requests and conduct DC tours for the new customers.

-

Perform required Site exercise and inspections.

-

Work with Eventrak ticketing system - open and close Trouble Tickets and CRs.

-

Supervise vendors performing electrical, mechanical and other types of PM and/or repair, ensuring that all work is performed according to established practices and procedures.

-

Understand, update and execute detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs) and SOPs.

-

Provide updates to NOC during events, review vendor service reports.

-

Diagnose various equipment alarms via the building management system (Foreseer) and if necessary respond to the alarm situation and coordinate vendors for restoration.

-

Collect various Data (electrical readings, capacity reports etc.), submit it to the management and upload it to company Sharepoint CI Site.

-

Collect and upload SSAE-16 Artifacts to Sharepoint CI Site.

-

Maintain company operating procedures libraries (Site SOP Manual).

-

Maintain accurate records and document all problems, maintain current versions of all Site documentation on the Sharepoint portal.

-

Respond to alarms and issues in off-hour situations based on on-call schedule.


Job Requirements:

-

Knowledge of Telco technologies, systems, and circuits;

-

Solid knowledge of Data Center Critical Infrastructure Systems, including Cooling (CRAC, Pumps, Dry Coolers), Power Distribution (Switchgear, UPS, PDU, RPP, DC Plant, ATS, Generators, Fuel Tanks) and Fire Detection and Suppression.

-

Extensive experience terminating CAT6 cables.

-

Ability to lift 60-75lbs. and perform work requiring extended walking and bending.

-

Must be able to contribute and support 24x7x365 operation.

-

CompTIA A+ Certification or field related Trade Certification is highly desirable.


Education and Experience
:

-

3+ years of experience in related field, or equivalent education.

-

High School Diploma.
