Buyer - Full-time / Part-time

Currently looking for a Buyer/Senior Buyer to be based in Topeka and St. Mary's, Ks.

* Need Purchasing and MRO experience (MRO Is KEY!)
* Warehousing Experience, inventory levels, etc…
* Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
* This individual would be spending 3 days a week in the Topeka office doing buying and 2 days a week at St. Mary's overseeing the warehouse/inventory.


Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Manager of Procurement Services, this position shall be responsible for the procurement of designated materials, supplies and equipment for Generation operations to meet purchasing demands. The buyer position will coordinate with inventory management and use materials management and inventory control principles and techniques to maintain accurate inventory levels. This position will participate in negotiations with prospective suppliers, as well as work with field personnel and vendors to resolve procurement and invoicing issues. This position is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with primary work locations to include the Topeka General Office and Jeffrey Energy Center.
