About this job

Our client is an industry leading Product Developer for the Aerospace industry and is actively seeking a Program Manager to join their growing team.

General functions of this role include

-Manages program schedule creation and maintenance including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development; resource loading, task detail management, and Activity Based Management

-Main interface with Customer and all internal Program Stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing etc.) to determine project milestones, scope, and resources required. Will also develop/maintain Risk Management Plans, Change Management Plans, and Program Plans

-Facilitates schedule reporting and analysis; conducts analysis of schedule integrity; ensures proper schedule configuration management

-Regularly reports out to Customer and team on important items such as: Program Milestones and their progression, Resource Plans, Actual vs planned vs forecast budgets, etc

-Supports department/program level budgeting process

-Performs project accounting and time tracking; perform audits and conduct reviews of schedules to ensure traceability, linkage and integration

-Participate in the implementation of PM Tools, common metrics and process standardization for project tracking and oversight

-Works with Customer and program team in evaluating potential changes and effects to overall program metrics (schedule, cost, scope)

-Prepare and present monthly program status reports to senior management

Related Knowledge would Include

  1. Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM) desired
  2. Understanding and familiarity with WBS development
  3. Demonstrated capability in Program / Project Planning and Scheduling
  4. Strong understanding and working experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Tools
  5. Must have good presentation, communication, and training skills
  6. Ability to impact change in processes and culture.
