Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be able to assist clients in creating a healthy vision and goals for their Health & Wellness program
  • Participate in weekly meetings and monthly in-service trainings
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver effective telephonic coaching in a manner that promotes behavior change
  • Appropriately adapt telephonic coaching and education methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific needs of each clientele served
  • Demonstrate established customer service behaviors and standards
Ability to work flex hours into the early evening required. We work into the evening and on some Saturdays.

Requirements

Required QUalifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology or a closely related field.
  • Must be flexible to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00AM - 8:00PM CST, Saturday 8:00AM - 4:30PM CST.
  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing and database documentation (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook).
  • 2+ years of experience required in direct education or coaching with individuals for disease prevention, health promotion or behavior change.
  • Either certified in a nationally recognized coaching program or must complete certification by the end of the first year of employment.
  • Basic knowledge of disease prevention (cardiovascular and diabetes) and basic understanding of exercise principles, nutrition and weight management
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated insight into human behavior and have the ability to communicate and interact with individuals at varying levels of skill and education preparation.
  • Experience in a fast paced inbound and/or outbound call center environment.
  • Experience working in a metrics driven environment.
