Direct Support Professional Evenings and Weekends( Job Number: 140003Y2) Primary Location United States-MN-MNPrior Lake REM MN, a partner of The Mentor Network is hiring part time caregivers to work evenings and every other weekend in a residential setting in Prior Lake, MN. Direct support professionals provide assistance which may vary according to the needs of the individuals served but may include personal cares such as assistance with tolieting and bathing, transportation using a company car, assistance with meal preparations and keeping the home clean and safe, and passing medications. REM provides paid training for all of the tasks required of people providing care to our consumers. Most important is that staff have a passion for service and helping others!
Description

Every person needs the support of others, but we look for very special people to support adults with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with REM and The Mentor Network you’ll be one of those special people.

DSPs are the link to the community for those they serve. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
