Emergency Dispatcher (part-time)

Great Opportunity for students looking for part-time work!

Our client is currently seeking to hire a part-time Emergency Dispatcher inTampa. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, and candidates must be very flexible and able to work 2 PM - 10 PM weekdays (there is also an opening for the 10 PM - 6 AM shift for Friday and Saturday). This is a part-time position (24-26 hours a week) and could eventually turn full time.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type at least 35 WPM.
• Prefer recent related experience in dispatching, receiving high volume inbound calls, etc.
• High School Diploma/GED

Position description: A supervised position in a team environment in which primary responsibilities include using various computer, telephone and two-way radio resources to detect and confirm traffic incidents, dispatch highway service patrols, provide incident information to travelers, and create and update incident logs and reports. Performs routine tasks under supervision and in accordance with established operations guidelines.
