Therapeutic Programming Support Staff

REM South Central Services is seeking both part-time and full-time Therapeutic Programming Support Staff in Maple Lake, MN. We are searching for people that will follow Positive Support Transition Plans (PSTP) as written and be able to de-escalate potentially challenging situations with a calm and gracious demeanor. Description

By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in a community-based setting. Additional responsibilities may be providing assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; therapeutic intervention; medication administration; and personal care. DSP's may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks

Preferred:

  • Psychology background- through experience or college classes
