We are hiring Cooks in the Schenectady, NY and surrounding areas! This is an excellent Temporary-to-Hire opportunity with a great company!

 

Job Description:

• Prep and cook including: sautéing, grilling, and frying in a large volume establishment
• Assisting with catering orders and prepare trays for customers
• Serve food and provide an excellent customer experience
• Cleaning the kitchen area, taking out trash, mopping floors, and wiping down the dining area when needed
• Bus tables and wash dishes

 

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a high-volume institutional catering environment
• Food Handler’s Card
• Excellent knife skills
• Able to stand in kitchen environment for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Black slip resistant shoes
• Background check and drug screening required

 

Ideal Candidates:

• Cooking in a catering environment
• Experience in fast-paced environment
• Committed to safety

 

Pay Rate: $8-$12/hr

Hours: Varies
