ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1.    Under the direction of the Performance Improvement Supervisor and Director, Performance    Improvement, provides operational support in the development/ implementation of initiatives related to PI programs, projects and related activities:

a.    Coordinates inter-departmental communication in order to ensure the successful and timely deployment of Performance Improvement initiatives;

b.    Coordinates meetings, prepares agendas, assembles presentation materials, and other supportive duties as assigned;

c.    Supports continuous quality improvement initiatives through research and testing of initiatives to assess success and scalability;

d.    Manages data entry into the quality reporting database, analyzes data integrity and works with provider offices to provide support / education on correct use of the application;

e.    Coordinates physician education through in-service trainings and transparency of data;

f.     Coordinates member education on evidence-based guidelines through educational mailings, community-based events and direct outreach calls;

g.    Helps prepare and coordinate of data validation audits;

h.    Keeps abreast of current industry guidelines, publications, events, and status reports for all QIP;

i.     Attends conferences and meetings related to HEDIS/ Pay-for-Performance /

      CMS Stars/ ACO Quality Reporting as required;

j.    Assists Department Director and Medical Director as needed.

 

2.    Promotes open, clear, communication amongst internal departments and with other company departments. 

3.    Consistently supports compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and current Monarch HealthCare and client policies and procedures.

4.    Performs other related duties as required.

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

  • 1 year experience in managed care environment within Quality Improvement or equivalent experience.

  • Familiar with medical terminology

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Professional phone etiquette and letter writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Medical Assistant experience

  • LVN experience
