Service Technician

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to pass background and drug screen.
• CDL preferred or able to obtain.
• Pavement equipment preferred.

Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Hand coordination to use computer. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and work in adverse weather conditions.

Job Description:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on power equipment.
• Manage operations of repair center.
• Maintain a complete file on parts manuals, service manuals and service bulletins on equipment sold.
• Maintain proper parts inventory.
• Makes minor repairs and complete maintenance records.
• Handle maintenance on other cooperative equipment.
• See that all warranty forms are completed along with proper information in order for location to receive proper credit.
• Prepare Job Order Form on all service work done.
• Maintain a file on each piece on cooperative equipment and records of service.
• Attend meetings and schools as required..
• Adheres to Southern States Corporate Policies and Procedures..
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
