Shift Supervisor

Taking the Lead to 'Make Fun Happen' is the first important role of a Shift Supervisor at Big Thrill Factory. He or she manages shift operations, including management of games, rides and attractions, staffing requirements, team building, cleanliness, standards of operation for safety and labor costs. This is accomplished by achieving and maintaining Big Thrill's standards of operation, efficiently and safely. The shift supervisor also performs the entire range of marketing activities including building relationships throughout the community by assisting with outside events to ensure market growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing and encouraging team members to maximize their personal growth and development.
Working effectively in a high volume setting and demonstrating an outstanding ability to listen and communicate effectively.
Always working with safety as a top-of-mind through regular monitoring of staff and guests and following Big Thrill Factory Operating Standards.
Always working with cleanliness as a top-of-mind issue, coaching team members to clean-as-you-go to ensure a clean facility at all times.
Achieving financial objectives by monitoring the performance of financial objectives during each shift worked.
Having a passion for service by demonstrating our core values of fun, integrity, and teamwork beyond normal expectations in providing guest service.
Demonstrating leadership through example.
Defusing and resolving guest experience and employee issues in a positive, professional and timely manner

REQUIREMENTS
Some supervisory experience in the Hospitality/Entertainment industry preferred.
Computer literate including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
Ability to speak effectively before groups, guests, team members, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Ability to handle and count money, add, subtract, and multiply simple math.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, sales tax, percentages, and cash register balancing.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Serve Safe certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
Valid State Driver's License and current automotive insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the Shift Supervisor is regularly required to interact with the general public, team members, and children of various ages.
The Shift Supervisor will be standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
A Shift Supervisor is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
A Shift Supervisor is regularly required to lift up to 20 pounds and on occasion up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job a Shift Supervisor is regularly exposed to water, chemicals, food, paper debris, loud noise, music, horns, bells, whistles, and other noise projected by various amusements and recreation equipment operating at Big Thrill Factory.
At times a Shift Supervisor may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
