The Product
Owner is the Optum Cloud product's key stakeholder. They “own†the product on behalf of the company. The Product Owner collaborates with the Product Manager
to establish a product vision, validate that vision against a competitive
landscape, and convey the vision to the scrum team. The agile Product Owner
does this in part through management of the product backlog and attending the
Standard Scrum meetings.
Communication is a large part of the product
owner responsibilities. The product owner role requires working closely with
key stakeholders throughout the organization and beyond. So, he or she must be
able to communicate different messages to different people about the project at
any given time. In support of this goal, the product owner will develop reports
and communications tools to promote the product's success in the eyes of
stakeholders and market.
The successful product owner leverages practices such as
user observations, problem interviews, competitor analysis, business modelling,
product roadmapping, personas, user stories, scenarios, design sketches,
product demos, user tests, metrics and analytics, and release planning to
understand, deliver, and market Optum Cloud products.
Primary Responsibilities
- SCRUM:
- Documenting
user stories, acceptance criteria, and identification of key customer
requirements and/or risks - Maintain
the product backlog - Set
the Sprint Goal & support the goal through data collection - Attend
all scrum related sessions & meetings - Collaborate
with the development team actively addressing requirement ambiguities. - Develop/Track/Deliver
scrum related artifacts including but not limited to User Stories, Sprint
Schedules, Requirements Tracking, and related QA documentation. - PRODUCT:
- Develop
stakeholder-engagement & communication strategies - Feature
prioritization, planning, and forecasting - Understanding
the customers' needs as it relates to the product - Understand
the business model and refine to better compete within a competitive landscape - Accountable
for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of product ownership experience in an Agile development environment.
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office Experience (Word - correspondence and templates. Excel - Advanced formulas and Macros).
- Experience with various SaaS business models and services (IE Basecamp, Twillo, Slack and others.)
- Experience with product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of web and product development processes.
- Master's Degree.
- Experience with mixed large enterprise.
- Healthcare experience.
