Primary Responsibilities:



  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
  • Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Quick learner of computer programs (advanced MS Excel and Access, others)
  • Able to interpret and analyze large quantities of data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  both written and verbal
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with individuals in different locations
  • Experience working in an IT environment
  • Process and detail focused
  • Capable of analyzing and proposing solutions to problems independently
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serve as a resource to others

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 3+ years of professional finance and/or accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to explain complex financial information and charges in a manner which makes sense to clients outside of the finance organization
