Summary: The warranty clerk will help administer, code and process warranty claims for the shop. You will need previous warranty experience either as a warranty clerk, service advisor, etc to be considered for the postion.



Position Responsibilities:

• Code & Process IC Warranty for the facility, and catching overflow of Deposit
• Code & Process outside vendor warranty for the facilityt
• Understands & ensures compliance with all IC & vendor polices and warranty procedures with proper documentation for all claims
• Reviews all repair orders for items charged out (parts, misc. shop supplies, PO's, etc.) prior to closing repair orders
• Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments within the appropriate accounting schedules weekly
• Post all credits and charge backs in a timely manner
• Follows up on payment of outstanding claims over 60 days
• Reviews all warranty charge backs with Service Manager, resubmits rejected or underpaid claims with correct documentation
• Follows up with Service Manger on parts that test serviceable
• Notifies customers immediately for payment on charge backs that reflect a non-warrantable failure
• Ensures all warranty parts are clean, tagged, lube drained & capped PRIOR to shipping requested parts back

Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:

• Required:
  • Previous Warranty experience is required
  • Working as a Warranty clerk/administrator, or as service adviser, etc
  • Experience has to related to either truck or automotive shop

Working Conditions: Shop, office, , vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
