Fuel Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary:

Respond to the fuel center service needs of a group of stores in the given territory. Troubleshoot and make repairs in a timely manner and communicate with store personnel as well as facility engineering management and field supervisor. Perform service in a timely, safe, and quality conscious manner, and as economically as possible, in an effort to provide the stores with the best service possible. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Essential Job Functions:

• Perform service and preventative maintenance to the stores retail fuel centers consisting of dispensers, pumps, and monitoring devices.
• Service electronic monitoring systems.
• Perform bi-annual calibrations on assigned fuel centers
• Be experienced with different types and styles of fuel dispensing equipment.
• Provide support to special fuel center projects.
• Be able to troubleshoot electrical components and read wiring diagrams.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Maintain accurate and timely employee time reports and credit card statements.
• Clean and maintain company service vehicle.
• Properly communicate with Facility Engineering staff, store management, and others through both written and verbal techniques.
• Participate in the on-call rotation that provides service to the store group after normal business hours and on weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• High school degree or General Education Degree (GED)
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel independently as needed
• Accuracy/attention to detail
• Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
• Technical knowledge of fuel dispensing equipment, controls, testing and monitoring equipment, materials, and tools
• Knowledge of repair, maintenance and installation techniques
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management and field staff
• Moderate to high level computer skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Trade school or Associates degree preferred
• Experienced in maintain and servicing commercial fuel centers (minimum 5 years' experience preferred).
• Knowledge of Service Hub and in-store networks
• Previous experience as a Fuel Technician
• Previous experience with Wayne, Veeder Root, and INCON equipment
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations that apply to petroleum retail sales.
