Manpower Professional is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a large manufacturing facility in West Tennessee. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3+ years of manufacturing experience. This is a direct placement opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Support existing and new projects, programs, and product lines
- Share responsibility for the effective planning, scheduling, and responsiveness of the maintenance department
- Design, develop, and purchase manufacturing tool and equipment
- Provide leadership in major projects
- Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
- Perform manufacturing engineering functions such as time studies, layouts, cost justifications studies, etc.
- Prepare and maintains detailed layouts of facilities and equipment
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including established goals, training team members, and evaluating results
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement
- Represent manufacturing on Kaizen events and cross-functional teams
