Job Description:

The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will be part of the Operations Portfolio Production Support team. This position provides Production Support and Application Monitoring for Scanning and Automation functional areas. While primarily an Operations Portfolio Production Support (OPPS) position, this person may be required to provide assistance on deployments when needed. OPPS is responsible for monitoring, reporting, and resolving issues 24x7. On-call, on-site night/weekend support is required based on business need and often on short notice. This position may also support other team members with installation, facilitation, and coordination of the configuration/shakeout of all types of field applications. Further responsibilities may include performing system integration through installation validation testing of application software. Experience with ASX, GSSd, GSSi, and DWS is strongly preferred.

This position requires 2-4 years of experience with coding, testing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications in multi-tier environments. The successful candidate must have a firm understanding of the system development lifecycle (ALM), support practices, testing methodologies as well as excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. He/she must have very good technical, planning, organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills and must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

This position may require shift work.

The individual who fills this position will interact with all project team members, support groups and upper management, and must be detail-oriented and a professional team player.  He/she receives direction from Senior or Lead Production Support Team members, the Manager or the Senior Manager. This position requires light supervision for low to moderate complex projects.
