Provide leadership on adherence to corporate aesthetic standards. Provide creative and structural recommendations on courseware design and development matters. To increase relevant skills and knowledge of all company employees, partners and customers by designing and developing training courses as prescribed by University Director. Provide LMS / KMS administrator lead to insure the LMS and KMS are functioning properly, questions/concerns are handled, courses are uploaded and reporting is complete and accurate. Develop reports and reporting methods for diverse sets of audiences using Training and Quality systems.

Position Activities

• Ensures the instructional integrity of course development projects through systematic design and clear writing of scripts, narratives and storyboards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge, training and applicable technical and development certification on designated course development tools and applications as identified by University Director.
• Participate in and periodically lead design and development phases of course program life cycle.
• Design and develop online synchronous and asynchronous training programs.
• Design and develop course tests, assessments and surveys to evaluate training effectiveness and future needs.
• Answers users’ questions and escalates based on type of questions.
• Uploads courses, assessments and other material to the LMS.
• Maintain LMS platform and related reporting mechanisms.
• Lead design and development of courseware and training content development projects in such areas as process, procedure, policy, product, systems and corporate culture.
• Lead CBT/WBT, mLearning and eLearning courseware design and development.
• Produce audio, video, graphic, print and photographic content for courseware material.
• Provide training and mentoring on media design and development for University Trainers and Instructors.
• Design graphic assets for large training and corporate education programs.
• Analyze training needs goals and objectives to determine appropriate design and development strategies and project approach.
• Create custom reports on Training and Quality systems. Extracting and combining data from multiple sources.
• Verifying and correcting inconsistencies between and within data sources.
• Developing reports and reporting methods for diverse sets of audiences.


Job Complexity
• Must be able to execute all relevant job duties with moderate supervision.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to web-based instruction.
• Extensive knowledge of information architecture principles and methods.
• Designing and developing training content deliverable across multiple modalities including print, web, video, webinar, vILT, ILT, IPad/Android, game/interaction and audio.
• Must be expertly proficient in a wide range of print, HTML / CSS, audio, video, photographic, graphic and content design platforms in both MAC and PC environments. PC preferable. (Adobe Master Suite products such as Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Must be able to provide training to University Trainers and Instructors on base level design functions.
• Must be expertly proficient in use of industry standard office automation software such as MS Word, MS XL and MS PowerPoint, Visio.
• Must be expertly proficient in SCORM compliant development and compilation tools. (SCORM compilation/conversion)
• Analyzing needs assessment performed by Instructional Staff and designing and developing courseware in accordance with student needs and management constraints and parameters.
• Development of courseware, training materials, electronic performance systems (EPS/Job Aids) and visual training tools.
• Design and development of assessment and analysis tools.
• Must have a good general understanding of company's suite of products and services. (Preferred)
• Ability to learn new products, services, procedures and support systems quickly.
• Periodically participate and provide project leadership in design and development of courseware materials for special training projects, programs and initiatives.
• Lead Instructional Design and teach and mentor others in the principles, practices, tools and techniques of professional Instructional Design and course development.
• Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Access or other standard data base, Crystal Reports or other query software required.
• Develop reports and reporting methods for diverse sets of audiences using Training and Quality systems.
IV. Educational/Specialized/Technical Requirements
Bachelor degree in Digital Arts & Design, Graphic Design, Web Design & Development, Learning Technology or Film Production or equivalent applied experience and self study required.

Preferred Software Experience:
HTML / CSS, Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Flash, Adobe Audition, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe ONLocation, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Snagit, TMPGenc, Mind Mapper, Visio, PowerPoint, Thesis (or similar) SCORM compiler, Cisco Webex, Moodle (or similar LMC/LCMS), Joomla or similar, Excel, Access/SQL/Oracle or similar
