The Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Programs and Formulary Development will be responsible for the research of new and existing medications and the evaluation of medical literature. As the chosen candidate YOU will evaluate and develop drug use criteria to support utilization management, participate in the P & T (Pharmacy & Therapeutics) formulary reviews, and take part in the drug policy interpretation service (DPIS) pertaining to drug information requests from providers. As the chosen candidate you must be willing to work in a team environment and support tasks and projects outside of standard duties.
In addition, this Clinical Pharmacist will:
- Present clinical findings and literature before National Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P & T) committee
- Oversee projects from inception to completion
- Provide responses to drug information requests
Requirements
Required:
- Must have at least 1 year of Clinical Pharmacy experience
- Pharmacy License must be current and unrestricted for the State of CA
- Computer proficiency at the intermediate level and experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Pharmacy Residency is a plus!
- Experience with research and analytics
- Pharm D
- PBM and/or Managed Care experience
- Knowledge of OR experience with Medicare Part D Prior Authorization requirements experience, including reviewing drug use criteria for medication approval
