The Sr. IT Project Consultant will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various Infrastructure Security areas. Manage day-to-day business project tasks and deliverables. Proactively seek clarity and engage the team. Set, manage and measure expectations. Ensure all requirements, project plans and changes to commitments are communicated in a timely manner. Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations. Support vendor activities and maintain budget requirements for the project as necessary.



 



Primary Responsibilities:




  • Set project direction, resolve issues and escalate risks

  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges

  • Influence or provide input for forecasting and planning activities

  • Have involvement in decisions that may impact multiple groups of employees and/or customers (internal or external)

  • Provide IT work scheduling and planning across multiple delivery teams

  • Manage Scope / Change management and provide communications management

  • Provide appropriate issue resolution and risk mitigation

  • Drive for results, set dates and goals and check progress regularly

  • Anticipate obstacles and make the necessary adjustments to ensure on-time delivery in spite of unanticipated problems

  • Need to take ambiguous problems, issues, ensure understanding, and organize a group of people to resolve the issue

  • Use applied knowledge of the application development life cycle, customer and business relationship management and project management

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of IT Project Management experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Information Technology (IT) industry

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience with Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Project

  • Previous experience working with and presenting to senior-level IT and Business leaders (VP level and above)

 


Preferred Qualifications



  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • IT Security management background

  • Display honesty, integrity and solid work ethic

  • Desire to always do the right thing

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience managing multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Energetic and have a sense of urgency to get results with the team

  • Good organizational and planning skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated and independent

  • Strong leadership skills
