MIG Welder - Full-time / Part-time

-Employee will be welding various types of steel and alloys for playground equipment. Galvanized steel (90% of what they do) Stainless steel, ,aluminum, and black steel are some of the materials, along with Alloys. These materials are thinner gauges up to 1/8? thick, so materials are more sensitive. Company will train welders on galvanized. It is a sensitive material that tends to pop and spark at times, so please prep candidates.

Duties:
-MIG welding of galvanized metals
-Employees will need to follow work orders and BLUE PRINTS in order to weld to customer specifications. They will be asked to take a blueprint test.
-Will perform visual quality inspections and measure weldments with tape measure to make sure that they are in spec.
-Operation of general metal forming equipment such as pipe formers, shear, punch brake to complete jobs.

Must Haves:
-2 years recent experience (or schooling equivalent) MIG welding.*MIG welding exp must be from a production environment.
-MUST be able to read WELDING BLUE PRINTS. They will be tested on blue prints. Must be able to read TAPE MEASURE to 1/32?
-Must be able to read write speak English with no restrictions.
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs with no restrictions.
-Must be computer proficient within a windows environment basic navigation- enter/ exit screens, save, print.
Hours- Mon-Fri 5am-1:30pm and must be able to work any OT required if things are busy. Can start upon passing completion of drug test. Steel toe boots required.
-We will be getting an additional 2 positions once these are filled. We do currently have the exclusive on the welding openings as the competition has failed to provide any good candidates.
-This is our opening into the general production floor where they do currenly have 60 contract employees ramping over 100. If we do good with the welding openings they will give me a shot at the current general labor business.
