The Manager IT External Engagements manages the transitions of Production Support team after the contract is awarded, defines the Operating model for all external engagements which includes ITIL based processes, practices, metrics and reporting. These positions will be responsible for engagements in both the public and private sector with an emphasis on healthcare payers and various state and federal government agencies as customers. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:


  • Conducting due diligence with customers to understand their requirements and the current application support operations.

  • Manage the transition activities after the contract is awarded which includes preparing transition plan, Knowledge transfer plan and executing those plans in stipulated timeframe

  • Provide Project Management oversight post transition for the client engagement to make sure all deliverables and contract obligations are met and account is set up for successful delivery

  • Defining the operating model for external engagements

  • Establish delivery models that best match customer needs/expectations which includes ITIL processes, Service Management tools & solutions, Metrics & Reporting set up for each account as per contract needs.

  • Managing the recruitment of internal (or, potentially, external) candidates for engagements

  • Fulfilling resourcing needs on external engagements

  • Creation and delivery of all document deliverables as per client needs and contract terms

  • Documenting and propagating best practices to drive efficiencies across all engagements

Requirements

 



  • Minimum of 8 years of broad-based experience within Information Technology  

  • Minimum of 3 years of Project/Program management experience

  • Experience in Transition management and defining operating models

  • Experience in application development and maintenance.  Working in an organization dedicated to application maintenance is a definite plus.

  • Experience in managing large-scale strategic change initiatives in a highly matrixed organization

  • Willingness and ability to travel 35%

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Previous Healthcare Exchange work experience
