The Research Consultant will perform a variety of research and consulting-related tasks. Research Consultants work independently, applying sound quantitative and qualitative methods to contribute to framing the analytical approaches used to solve client problems. Research Consultants can successfully manage small to medium tasks, work effectively with project team members and efficiently manage assignments to prioritize client needs.


 


Key responsibilities may include:



  • Performing a variety of research and consulting-related tasks

  • Drafting reports and memos

  • Independently working on complex assignments

  • Assisting with day-to-day management of project tasks

  • Managing time effectively across multiple projects, with several managers and competing priorities

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience in Health Policy research, analytics and interpretation of health care data

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Aptitude for interpreting data outputs and articulating findings to managers

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of public programs (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, exchanges)

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and knowledge of SAS or other statistical software and experience analyzing health data

  • Experience working in or participating in research studies related to the health care or human services industries (e.g., hospital internship, health related non-profit/state agency, or related coursework)
