Job Summary:
The Installer is responsible for assisting in the receiving, delivery, and installation of furniture at customer sites. The Installer is one of the last points of contact for the customer in the sales process and contributes to the goal of providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
Perform dis-assembly and reassembly of all office systems furniture
Recommend solutions to improvise and redesign on job site, or customize in order to get the job completed
Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, i.e. Time sheets, Merchandise Return Forms, Delivery Tickets, Change Orders and Punch Lists in a timely manner
Properly load and pack truck for deliveries
Fix and adjust locks
Properly install wall attachments,i.e. white boards, Egan boards, wall channels, panel attachment and brackets
Complete metal touch up with paint, as necessary
Properly install 35 panels and/or a comparable number of components in a day
Provide backup assistance for all warehouse duties, as necessary
Adherence to Operations procedures and policies and standards of conduct off site

Qualifications:

Should possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Understanding and knowledge of product lines and services offered
Effective customer service skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and procedures
Mindful of maintaining safety in the work environment
Understanding of and effective use of blue prints, elevations, typicals and specifications having to do with systems furniture.
Must be able to provide own tool set
Must be able to drive company vehicles (no CDL required) *Perferred*
Must have a valid driver's license in the state of Texas and maintain a good driving record (as defined by Company)
Must be flexible with work schedules and locations as installers may be dispatched directly to the customer site
Position requires ownership/access to a reliable vehicle
Basic understanding of hand tools (manual and power)
Ability to meet established deadlines

Experience/Training/Education/Certification:


One or more years of related work experience; installation of commercial office furniture experience preferred or not required.

Convictions on a case by case basis.

Work Environment:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Heavy physical activity required. This position will routinely have to move, and lift up to 50 pounds and on an occasional basis lift up to 100 pounds. Position requires frequent driving, between company locations, sometimes resulting in long periods of time in a car. Noise levels are moderate.
