About this job

•Plan and direct all testing functions
•Plan and direct the selection of testing equipment and tools
•Communicate findings of test teams to development teams and department leadership
•Work closely with development teams to design, evaluate, implement and improve test processes
•Implement a rigorous, quantitative approach to measuring and improving our testing approach
•Identify, research, report, and track software defects proactively and comprehensively
•Act as the IT primary representative to customers and contractors on all testing issues
•Create Test Plans (including estimating test resources and maintaining a testing schedule)
•Manage the implementation and use of various types of testing techniques:
oIntegration testing
oFunctional testing
oUser Acceptance testing
oQuality Attribute testing (e.g., Usability, Scalability, Performance, Compatibility, etc.)
•Build and manage solid relationships with development teams and other groups needing services from Test
•Ensure quality of services exceed expectations both internally and externally

Requirements:
•Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
•Minimum of 3 years experience in software testing is preferred
•Experience with managing and leading a software test team
•A demonstrated understanding of software development and testing methodologies
•Demonstrated knowledge and experience with current state-of-the-art software quality and test strategies and methodologies
•Proven team player who works well with others in a challenging, distributed, fast-paced environment
•Effective written and communication skills
•Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•Familiar with the design and execution of test processes and test plans
•Ability to write QA documentation and summarize findings
