Aerotek Recruiting and Staffing is looking for Fiberglass Finishers for a local boat manufacturing facility. Candidates with fiberglass finishing or auto body experience preferred. This is a wonderful opportunity to join the top boat manufacturers in the area. Positions are first shift Monday thru Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays.
Provide the necessary fiberglass repair and processing skills to accomplish the repair of a quality marine boat, on schedule, following all safety policy guidelines, within the designated customer and company specifications and cost constrains, supporting the business in achieving specific business objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using spray gun with paint, buffer with wax, polish, compound, fillers, putty, and/or paste. Hand tools may include gel-coat spray equipment, grinders, buffer, drill, or other specialty tools and fixtures. Selected candidate should be responsible for parts inspection and have an understanding of fiberglass finish or basic use of abrasives.
Must comply with all laws, regulations, and other applicable chemical handling standards including proper PPE (protective personnel equipment). PPE requirements could include full face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical resistant suits. Daily housekeeping of area and tools is required.
Willing to work to specific job instructions, frequently reading & providing verbal and or a written status. May include handling & application of solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax along with proper disposal of same.
