Quality Analyst/Operations Assistant Think Thin – Oakland, CA Position Overview The Quality Analyst/Operations Assistant provides support to the Quality Assurance, Operations and Logistics function by addressing consumer questions and complaints via written correspondence as well as answering phone calls from consumers, handling the product retain and product quality monitoring programs, managing supplier and co-manufacturer documentation/records and updating databases where required. Essential Job Functions Includes but not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned): • Learn the protocol and details necessary to respond to most consumer inquiries. • Primary contact for consumer questions/inquiries. Handles questions where appropriate and/or elevates consumer complaints to QA director when necessary. • Populates the consumer complaint database and provides monthly and ad hoc reports. • Performs local store checks when required. • Maintains office supplies and act as a backup receptionist. • Collect, catalog and record all incoming product retain samples for quick reference. • Receive production and product quality records from co-packers and transfer to database or scan-file for future reference. • Help update inventory records when required. • Aid materials management by updating records and proof reading activities. Minimum Job Requirements • The employee for this position should have at least a high school diploma and a college degree would be useful. Good writing and math skills are required. • Must have Call Center experience or multi-line phone experience. Must also know how to handle customer complaints.Have demonstrated working proficiency with business software programs such as Excel, WORD document and email as well as standard Accounting/ERP Systems. • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels when needed. • Must have current valid driver’s license • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on an occasional basis. • Possess accurate data entry skills. • Be detail oriented and accurate in work with the ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers • Possess excellent organization skills • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently • Ability to work somewhat independently, energetic with the ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment. • Familiarity with or experience working in food manufacturing environments is preferred.
