- 2nd shift, $12-14/hr. based on experience.
- Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Prepares items for shipment.
- Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge or shipping procedures, routes and rates.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons using stenciling equipment.
- Prepares plastic and cardboard containers for shipment.
- Inserts protective padding into containers.
- Bands containers to wooden pallets with metal banding.
- Places identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates and containers.
- Posts weighs and counts.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Routes items to internal departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Handle parts with care and notifies supervisor if something doesn't look right.
