Position Description:

Positions in this function include more traditional administrative/clerical support roles including: answering the telephone, typing/word processing of documents, maintaining calendars and setting up meetings, making travel arrangements, copying, faxing, greeting visitors, setting up files, tracking expenses, and coordinating building and equipment maintenance. At senior levels, function may include supervision of other clerical/administrative staff.
  • Moderate work experience within own function.
  • Some work is completed without established procedures.
  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others.
  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or High school education/GED with 2 years of experience in a Administrative Assistant role
  • Previous experience working in an Administrative Assistant role
  • Experience with MS Word create and edit business documentation, correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes
  • Experience with MS Excel for updating and creating new spreadsheets, sorting, adding and filter data
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint to create presentation and modify existing presentation with updated data
  • Experience with MS Outlook to manage e-mails and calendars
  • Proficient with office equipment such as PC, multi-line phone system, Copy/Fax Machine, and postage machine  
  • 1+ years experience interacting with internal/external customers 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Technical Training/Diploma for Administrative Assistant 
  • Previous experience with project coordination 
  • Experience as a Business Service Liaison to assist for onboarding new staff 
  • Experience supporting remote/off site employees 
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
