Senior Email Marketing Technical Architect - Multiple Locations

Primary responsibilities:

• 
  
  Serve as a strategic resource and experienced technical subject matter expert with data, scripting, API and/or integrations


• 
  
  Support the design and deployment of consumer/member e-newsletters (Healthy Mind Healthy Body and Benefit Awareness Newsletter), email marketing campaigns, microsites and other web properties


• 
  
  Provide data analysis (examination of campaign data, client profile data, etc.) and ongoing e-communications expertise to functional partners with regard to web and email marketing best practices and optimization of their digital communication strategy, ensuring brand and CAN-SPAM compliance and maximum marketing return-on-investment (ROI)


• 
  
  Validate technical design and solution


• 
  
  Provide technical consultation on various aspects of solutions, including list management


• 
  
  Utilize experience with ExactTarget Marketing Cloud data management, or other email marketing data management platform


• 
  
  Execute advanced configuration/development activities per assigned work orders


• 
  
  Serve as a technical liaison to support custom and/or atypical initiatives


• 
  
  Conduct solutions testing and validation


• 
  
  Support documentation process by providing applicable artifacts (code samples, screenshots, etc.)


• 
  
  Analyze campaign metrics and uses data to recommend improvements to drive optimization


• 
  
  Design and delivering highly scalable solutions and ability to effectively communicate the solution to the clients and to the internal teams


• 
  
  In system and performance analysis of distributed systems


• 
  
  Use marketing automation platforms to build and automate campaigns, data management, and system configuration


• 
  
  Use various flavors of Linux and Windows


• 
  
  Set up network configuration, firewall rules, NAT rules, DNS configuration is a plus.


• 
  
  Optimize RDBMS performance of at least of the following databases: MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle


• 
  
  Use Adobe Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics or other digital analytics platform


• 
  
  Utilize AMPscript language to allow highly targeted, dynamically driven emails to be delivered across an audience or segment based on subscriber preferences and attributes


• 
  
  Utilize at least 2 client side programming languages such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python


• 
  
  Utilize server side web development design languages, scripting tools, and protocols such as HTTP, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, JQuery

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree (Interactive Marketing, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency


• Experience in building stored procedures, reports, and data extracts


• Command of SSRS and SSIS, performance optimization techniques, foundations of data architecture, qualities and integration


• Experience working with MS Visual Studio, NetBeans, or other modern integrated development environment, as well as visualization software applications such as MS Visio


• 5 or more years of experience in the architect role on enterprise software implementation/integration projects


• 5 or more years of web software development experience including the client-side and the server-side development


• Proficient with HTML, XML, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Experience


• Systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce, or Web Analytics


• SOAP API and REST API
