The Photographer will manage all aspects of Sprouts’ photographic needs from pre-production planning through post-production editing. The Photographer will fulfill internal clients’ requests for photography to be used to enhance the Sprouts customer’s experience with the brand and to support Corporate training and marketing initiatives. This position will work closely with the Video Production Manager, Creative Director, Assistant Art Director and Director of Brand Marketing to capture the visual images that represents the brand accordingly.

The Photographer will be responsible for all product photography, editorial images, portraits, and other visual imagery needed for use in advertising and marketing collateral, online and social initiatives, and corporate business needs. Duties will include post-processing of images to correct for color, perform touch-ups, apply clipping paths, and saving into pre-determined formats. Uploading of images to the image database utilized by various internal and external clients is essential.

The ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge of photography and design with strong conceptual and production skills along with the ability to execute all projects from concept to completion. Duties will include but not be limited to: Assisting in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all internal photo shoots; preparing shooting schedules and shot lists; shooting all photography; determining lighting; scouting locations; editing images; uploading images to be used in production and online; and managing and archiving photography projects. The Photographer will interface with internal clients to ensure the proper standard of quality and visual representation of the brand and will also work with the internal design team to ensure the visuals are working towards the overall strength of the brand.

It is important for the Photographer to be able to implement established brand guidelines while still innovating and pushing the boundaries. The Photographer must have the ability to take directions and work well within a team environment. This position will also have multiple day-to-day responsibilities that are time-sensitive and require a high level of attention to detail.

The Photographer should have previous success working in the digital environment with photo editing equipment and software. They should be comfortable working under short deadlines on multiple projects for a variety of initiatives.

This position strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical. Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan, shoot, edit, and deliver all photography projects as directed
  • Utilize various photographic and lighting equipment to achieve desired results
  • Select cameras, lenses, and other photographic equipment needed for specific shoots
  • Responsible for maintaining the proper care of all photographic, lighting, and editing equipment
  • Stay up-to-date on all current and emerging technologies as it relates to their field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related discipline or extensive experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer editing systems, software and related equipment
  • Strong understanding of capturing quality imagery using related equipment
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with photographic equipment such as cameras, DSLR cameras, and lighting equipment
  • Strong understanding of lighting, color, and white balance
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe CS6, and Light room
  • Must be proficient on the MAC platform
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills
  • Good understanding of marketing principles, social media and photography.
  • Knowledge in developing creative concepts and campaigns
  • Knowledgeable in current design trends
  • Ability to follow creative direction, maintain brand standards and work collaboratively. Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback.
  • Experience and understanding of how to represent a consumer brand well across a variety of communication channels.
  • Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness, accountability and outstanding attention to detail.
