Spartan currently has immediate openings for Baker's Assistant for a great facility! Do you love baking and cake decorating? Are you an early-bird? Then you'll love this job! Spartan's Customer in beautiful Spencer County, Indiana is seeking a temporary Baker's Assistant. You will work 40 hours a week starting at 4:30/5:00 in the mornings, with possible weekend work included. This job is to begin ASAP and continue for approximately two to three months or longer as needed. Baker's Assistant Job Description The Baker's Assistant makes baked goods and desserts used for meals in various departments of our campus and over-the-counter sales. He/she also may assist with cooking in the main kitchen.

• Bake breads, pastries, cakes, and pies.
• Make desserts.
• Determine reuse of baked items, always keeping freshness of product foremost in importance.
• Maintain requests in an orderly fashion so baked items are made on time.
• Package baked items neatly for outside and inside sales.
• Assist with taking inventory and ordering supplies for bakery.
• Assist with cooking in the main kitchen as needed, including working as the Breakfast Cook and Salad Maker.

Job Requirements

• Must have experience in baking, bread making, cake decorating, etc.
• Requires basic reading, writing, and math.
• Classes or experience professional bakery and cake decorating helpful
• Ability to multitask
