Position Title: Aviation Guard
Line of Service: Security & Guarding
Department: UNITED RESERVATIONS BUILDING
Reports To: Supervisor / Duty Manager
Supervises: N/A
Classification: Non-Exempt
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing overall guard duties for an assigned area.
Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions: (Other duties may be assigned.)
* Secure doors, staircases, escalators and elevators where access to a secured area is possible without passing through a security checkpoint.
* Prevent any person without proper identification from entering a secured area and directing customers to the proper path/location.
* Responding to any breach of security when an alarm is sounded within the assigned area of responsibility in accordance with Airport or local security procedures.
* Maintain security logs and incident reports.
* Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
* Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
