Time Warner Cable ' s East Region ' s Finance Department currently seeks a Facilities Representative I located in Queens, New York. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Purpose :
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with day-to-day operations and maintenance of all facilities/grounds in the assigned area in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies and procedures, quality standards, customer needs and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with building maintenance including but not limited to: painting, wall/floor repair, plumbing (clogs, leaks), door hardware, HVAC filters, grounds maintenance
- Perform furniture moves in support of real estate planning and employee office relocations
- Assist in maintaining facility operating systems ie. HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps by checking/recording gauge/valve readings, adjusting temperature settings to maintain employee comfort
- Assist in inspecting generators and fire systems in support of safety and business continuity
- Help to maintain electrical rooms and equipment/material storage areas keeping them clean and free of obstructions
- Stock building supplies as needed e.g. replacement lights, replacement HVAC filters, chemicals, first aid kit contents etc.
- Perform routine janitorial quality inspections and respond to complaints

- Report on facility conditions (using check list provided) for items in need of attention e.g. light bulbs needing replacement, ceiling tile replacement, worn carpet, door operation, first aid kits stocked, exit lights, walkways free of hazards etc. to supervisor as part of daily routine
- Performs emergency building work and site cleanup as needed e.g. water cleanup from roof leaks after storms, place fans to dry wet carpet, board windows, pick up debris etc.
- Safely operate a company vehicle for equipment pickup/delivery and to maintain off-site facilities
- Provide quality customer service by: cooperating with co-workers, responding politely to customers, working as a team member, accepting change in a positive manner
- Respond to service requests using service ticketing systems to track response and service times
- Good communication to ensure professionalism and cooperation with all clients
- All other Duties As Assigned

Qualifications/Skill Set :
- Ability to grasp/use hand and power tools
- Ability to read/understand basic mechanical drawings
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively on a team
- Ability to lift/move furniture
Education/Experience:
- Associate ' s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of full-service facility management experience
- Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Facility Service Ticketing Software
- Ability and experience in using hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, drill, etc.) to perform basic repairs
- Ability to use VOM
- Mechanical aptitude required

Travel Requirements:
- Valid Driver ' s License with a clean driving record.
- Daily travel to other offices in market area
- Potential overnight travel to other market areas monthly
- Potential multiple night out of state travel quarterly
- On-Call Emergencies from time to time
