*Supervise the day-to-day activities of the QA Technicians to maximize resource effectiveness and utilization in compliance with QA procedures and company policies. *Communicate with vendors daily regarding package quality. *Provide QA technical support to all site departments including production, maintenance, facilities, and TIMQ as required to achieve business goals. *Develop and implement package procedures for quality inspections and perform statistical analysis for incoming materials, in process and finished products to ensure product compliance with GMPs, and company specifications. Research product defects recommending modifications with products or standards and prepare necessary reports and action plans. *Implement and evaluate Quality Assurance process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques in order to drive improvements. *Implement and comply with TPM, RVS and QA framework initiatives to improve QA KPIs (nonconformance, zero defects, customer complaints, first time right, etc.) and customer service. *Establish, monitor, validate, and maintain procedures and systems (i.e. HACCP) and sign off on trials and new innovations from a quality perspective to ensure compliance with UL and regulatory agencies QA standards. Support external audits conducted by the FDA (US)/CFIA (Canada) and other regulators. *Maintain effective communication and appropriate working relationships with internal and external customers such as Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing, Development, R&D and vendor representatives. Share information with superiors, colleagues, staff and subordinates and participate in the development of the annual site QA budget; controlling fixed and variable cost expenditures. Manage inventory of testing supplies and equipment.
