Key responsibilities include:
* Developing standards for organization and supervision of dietary services
* Determining quality and quantity of food required and planning menus and controlling food costs
* Working closely with divisional dietary services specialist and consulting dietitian when necessary to ensure meals meet the nutritional requirements of the residents
* Overseeing the food preparation and cooking to ensure meals are prepared per Brookdale procedures
* Making frequent inspections of all work, storage, and serving areas to determine that regulations governing food safety and sanitation are followed
* Preparing cleaning schedule, production worksheet, and staff schedules

We seek the following qualifications:
* Current Dietary Manager Certification highly preferred or must be willing to become certified
* One year of supervisory dietary experience
* Have or obtain ServSafe Certification as well as any and all certifications required by city and state
* Flexibility with schedule, including availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
* Possess basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing software
* Must enjoy working with the senior population
